Thank you, thank you for all your wonderful notes. I only wish I could respond to each of you personally. But in order to start a new book I need serious thinking time, which means less time for e-mail. Hope you understand. Just want you to know that my assistant and I read this guestbook every day, and that your continued love and support are a constant inspiration.

Hi recently I just finished "Just As Long As We're Together" and absolutely loved it! I was wondering if you could connect to someone and make it a movie. It would be amazing to see it come to life.

Dear Judy,
Hello! My name is Rylie and I am 11 years old!! I LOVE your books and wish I had them all!! In particular I like "Blubber," and "Are you there God? it's me Margaret!" My mom read these books growing up and loved them, so she showed them to me! I've also read "Iggy's House," The "Fudge" Books, and "starring Sally J. Freedman as Herself" they are all so good!!!!! I ran out of books because yours are so good I read them each in just a few days each! As soon as I got home from school u would grab a snack go to my bedroom and read, read, read! I wish I had more of your amazing books, can you please help me by telling me where I can get more books??

Now, enough about m, if you don't mind I will now ask you some questions....
What/who inspired you to write?

Where/who do you get character names and book titles from?

Do you mostly just write books for kids?

At what age did you start writing?

Anyway, that's all from me, I hope for a replie, thanks for your time!!LOVE YOUR BOOKS!!!!!!

Sincerely,
Rylie

Hello Mrs. Blume, I grew up reading your books and loved them all! And encourage my 5 kids to read yours now. Reading a book is a very precious thing to do and we must encourage other kids to put down the game remote and pick up a book.

Dear Mrs. Blume,

I go to school at Buckley Country Day School in New York and my English class is going to grow beans with our favorite author's word on it. Once we get that information, we will send the word to a bean company. The bean company will then engrave the word in the bean. We will care for our beans and then they will grow. When the flowers sprout, the word will appear on the flower! Then, we will send our favorite authors the picture of the flower, to honor them.

Since you are my favorite author, I would be honored if you could tell me your favorite word and why it is your favorite. Also, if you have a favorite seed or flower, it would be greatly appreciated if you send the name or the seed to us. We would plant the seed or flower in your name. This project is very important to me, so if you would be so kind as to answer me back at 7english@buckleycds.com. My friend Julia will also be contacting you from your email. Thank you for your time and for your stories!

Sincerely,
Anna XXX

P.S. Here is the link to the magic bean company who will make your seed: http://livelovebean.com.au/magic-bean-shop/believe-achieve-magic-bean/

Thank you Judy Blume. I love all your books. I grew up with them. A few nights ago I got sad again, because I began reading the last 100 pages on smart women and I wished you would write another book. So I looked on the internet thinking maybe by chance there would be a new book. And there it was!!! Please live for another 200 years and never stop writing. So even my grand children will be enjoying your books too! Thank you so much. Your writing fits perfect to my imagination.i love it.

Dear Judy,
I just wanted to write to say that you have inspired me to write. Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing was the first book I ever read, in 1980 when I myself was in fourth grade. I recently decided to follow my heart's passion and have started to write the first, of hopefully a long series, of books. Like you, I want to tackle real life lessons with my writing. My books, which will be aimed at preteen/early teen readers will be full of humor, adventure and love, but will tackle issues such as bullying, divorce and homelessness. I hope to not only entertain young readers but also open their eyes and expand their minds by teaching them diversity, compassion and tolerance. I credit you for sparking my writing interest again because, while searching for books at the library with my daughter, we came across Tales and I told her it was a must read. If you could give me any advice, even if it's just a single sentence, I would be forever grateful. Thank you and congratulations on your continued success.

After hearing your story on WNYC about the 3 plane crashes in Elizabeth, it reminded me of a friend who disappeared over Christmas break in 1952. I was 17 and a junior at Columbia HS. He flew to Florida and died in Elizabeth. Since then I have flown to Europe and back at least 30 times without an incident. Life is the reverse of roulette, I guess.
Looking forward to reading your book.

As an adult, I no longer read fiction. Yet if I were asked to name my favourite authour, it would have to be you. I also state my favourite book as being 'Just as Long as We're Together'

This may not mean much to you, but I had a lonely childhood and I would often scour the library for your books. They allowed me to connect with the characters and drift off into another world. Thank you for making my childhood a bit more pleasurable.

It was thrilling to see you at the Hopkins Center for the Arts this past Friday! My sister, Judy, and I were lucky enough to speak with your charming husband while waiting in line for book signings. You obviously make a wonderful team.
I was so fortunate to get some back story on the cover of my "Wifey" book (you told me how you fell on a cactus and how the cat in the author photo was a stand-in and not your own!), and hearing it from you in person is a moment I will treasure always. Thank you for sharing your stories and impacting so many lives, including mine!

Your down-to-earth stories have inspired me to develop a love for reading and for pursuing an education. Best wishes, Lisa.

I've been a fan since I was around 7 or 8. I'm now 41.
I recently introduced my 13 year old son to Then Again Maybe I Won't and Are You There God, It's Me Margaret.
Thank for taking on the topics most authors wouldn't bother with.
My mom would have greatly learned from Deenie a little earlier.
She was diagnosed with scoliosis when she was in her late teens in the early '70s....too late in her age to get the proper help.
I have written here before about re-reading Just As Long As Were Together. You wrote me back and I so appreciate that.
As a child and adult, I have so enjoyed your books.
Thanks so much for all you have done for writing on topics that have not been popular, but they were important.
In fact, one of my favorite books is Letters To Judy. You made me feel like some ways I felt were not so uncommon.
Thank you for everything you have done for your fans. You have helped more people then you will ever imagine.

I Love your books I fell in love with reading after reading Are you there God? It's me Margret in the 3rd grade(i read above my grade since 1st) I also learned so much about growing up thanks to your books. My mom never sat me down and talked about things that girls will go through. As a teen I read Forever and as a high schooler I fell in live with Vix and Catlin. I borrowed Summer Sisters so many times from my English teacher Sophmore year that he told me to Keep it when I returned it at the end of the year. I have that copy still and have read it maybe 20 more times in the last 10 years. Your books are my go tos when I get in a what to read next slump. Thank you and I am waiting for our post library to get your newest in so I cam check it out. I go in weekly to see if it is in yet.

Hey, Judy. A few months ago you shared with me - via e-mail - that you were coming to Edinburgh, and as a result me and my sister came and saw you - it was wonderful! We even met you, which was something we're still very thankful for, and I'm sure everyone else who met you is too. Just wanted to leave a message to say how lovely it was to see you. My little 7 year-old sister says to everyone "she was even nicer when she signed my Fudge book!" - this made me laugh!

Hi judy!I'm such a big fan of your books.I especially love you books with fudge and peter in them. They're so funny! My 2nd grade teacher Mrs.McLaughlin read all the books to us, but she didn't get to finish the book!Thankfully I got the book and finished myself.Anyway,I was thinking you should continue the fudge series and right a book like the other fudge books, but from fudge's point of view.Like how did fudge feel when Peter fainted on the floor when he said he wanted to marry Sheila Tubman? And how did he feel when he got his tooth knocked out or when mom and grandma put out the mattress and fudge got folded up in it.It would definatly be a book I would want to read!!
