Hello Judy,
A few years ago I had the opportunity to meet you in sign your book, In the Unlikely Event. At that time my husband was stationed in Homestead AFB. In June of 21017 we moved to Tyndall AFB. In October 2018 hurricane Michael destroyed our new little town. All of my books were lost, including the book you signed. I'm hoping you will read this post and possibly sign another book for me. The signing was seriously one of the best nights of my life. I still have the picture of the signing!!! I don't have a lot heirlooms passed down and this book was going to be mine to my daughter. I would be forever grateful if I could possibly get you to sign a new book.

My daughter is reading your book" IN THE Unlikely Event. Brought back my memories of going to Battin High School during the many plane crashes. Did you go to Battin High School from 1955 to1958?
I lived on down town, behind school 13. I have a sister Kathleen and a brother Andrew. My last name is Dargis. would love to hear from you

Dear Judy Blume,
I have to do an author project in english class and I chose you as my author. Some questions I have are, what hardships did you go through, were you inspired by another author, and what inspired you to write. I hope you can answer these questions for me.

I was in 4th grade at St Mary's when the second plane crashed. A kid in my class, Augustine Caruso lost his mother when the plane crashed into the houses, just missing Batten High school and St Mary's. Sister Batista kept us after school or my classmate would have been killed also.

I am in Kumon and noticed that my homework has a paragraph from one of my favorite books. I love The One in the Middle is the Green Kangaroo. Did you know that they use it for our homework?

My students completed a "Reading like a Fan" unit. My 4th grade student chose to read and study your books. We focused on noticing your style and craft through story elements. I hope you enjoy reading their fan letter below, as much as they enjoyed reading your books!
Dear Judy Blume,
I picked you as an author to read. I read part of Superfudge, part of Fudge-a-Mania And now am reading Double Fudge. I liked in Double fudge when you talked about what vegetables do to your body. I also like Fudge because he is funny. For example he was funny when he stood on the table in the classroom. Do you write about people that you know? Do you name your characters after people you know?
Sincerely,
Jack

Hi Judy,
I wanted you to know how grateful I am to you for making my childhood so happy by reading your wonderful books. America has always held a fascination for me and to read books that were set there made me actually feel as though I were there! Oh how I wanted to be friends with sunny Sheila Tubman. You made all those characters come to life in my young mind but to write adult books that also had that same effect on me just proves what a talented writer you are. I was so upset when I found out I had missed you when you came to Waterstones bookstore in London. I would have waited for hours to see you. I just hope you know how many lives you have touched with your writing. What a truly wonderful gift you have given to the world. My childhood hero and I thank you from the bottom of my heart x

Ms.Tracy's Kindergarten Class
Dear Ms. Blume,
Our teacher has been reading Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing to us. Most of us have younger brothers and sisters who act like Fudge. We are enjoying your book as we learn about characters, setting and retelling major events in a story. The story makes us laugh. Currently, we are on chapter 7 (The Flying Train Committee).
Thank you for writing great stories.

Dear Judy Bloom,
My name is Sharmiki. I love you and I love your books. I know you don't have time to respond to the guest book, but I just wanted to write to you and tell you your books are amazing. I always wonder how you came up with name Sheila for your character. I'll be looking at your website. Keep writing your books. That's great!
Love,
Sharmiki

I have never read any of your books, and I'm virtually the opposite of what may be any perceived target audience, but I'm so very impressed and inspired by your generous words of wisdom and encouragement from Masterclass, and on this very page, that I feel almost like I know you. Thank you so very much.

Caren Goldberg
Hi Judy, My name is Caren and I teach 4th grade. One of my students noticed the publication of one of the Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing had a slight variation, and was wondering why it got changed. In chapter 3, page 19 it states "I learned to stand on my head in gym class." However, in the other copy it states "My Grandma taught me to stand on my head when I spent the night at her house." One publisher is Yearling, while the other is Puffin books. My student wrote a letter to the publishing company to inquire about it. I just wanted to share. Your books make a huge impact on everyone who reads them, including the ones who notice the slight changes!
Robin Zanoni
Good morning. My name is Robin Zanoni, my maiden name is Robin Ramm. I grew up on Winding Brook Way two houses away from you and your family. I recently got Master Class as a gift from my son and his girlfriends. I watched one of your sessions and really enjoyed it. I am a third grade teacher in West Orange and thought many times about contacting you to see if you could speak at our school.
I am not sure if you are doing these author visits at this time but, Judy, I would love to hear from you and discuss this possibility.

Thank you for all of your stories.

Judy,
I wanted to personally thank you for Forever. I am a middle school teacher, and this book has served me well over the years. The girls play it off well, but they always gravitate towards this book. Thanks for being brave enough to be bluntly open and honest. I know this book is serving them well too. Thanks, again.

Hi Judy!
We are hoping you eat more pancakes... to write more Fudge books! We have an idea that your next book should be about Peter as a grown up with a daughter who is enthusiastic like her uncle Fudge. Her name should be Lolli. Get it? Lollipop... like her aunt Tootsie. We thought of a title, LOLli (we capitalized LOL because Lolli and Fudge provide LOTS OF LAUGHS!)
We felt like a part of your family and wanted to thank you for inviting us into your NYC apartment.
Will you please write another book? Maybe Fudge can find his shoe on the subway 17 years later? Or maybe he and Lolli wipe mashed potatoes on the walls just for fun? or maybe Fudge still counts cheerios every morning as an adult?
We would love to help you write new chapters! We will start working on our ideas ASAP.
Love, your favorite Fudge fans (we like Peter too, he always gets left out).
Amanda
Dear Ms. Blume,
I wrote to you way back in 2015 when I believe I was in 4th grade. I am currently in 7th grade and I still LOVE your books. I do have a question for you, and I do know that you are really busy and don't have time to answer everybody's emails and letters but I have to ask. At the end of Staring Sally J Freedman as Herself you comment that you where like Sally, confused by the end of the war, being a Jew. And in most of your books important characters are Jewish. I don't have a problem with that, I'm Jewish myself. I sometimes have a problem with people bullying me for being Jewish. Do you have any solutions for me? I still really really love your books. My Aunt Lisa sponsors the Book fair in Miami Florida and once while you where there my cousin when to the bathroom and you where there she politely nodded hello to you. I think that it was really funny that she didn't realize who you where. Any way thanks for your amazing books!

Hello Judy,
I am not sure if you remember me, but I sure remember you! I was a colorist at Robert Stuart Salon. In 2008, I was pregnant with my daughter. I spoke with you offer about our mutual joy of reading. I shared with you how I treasured your books growing up. You do kindly gave me a signed copy of your new book, and I devoured it! Well, my daughter is now 10, and she is reading your books. I am writing you as she is doing her book report on Blubber!! She is adding in her book report that she met you once in her mummys belly. The joy to share my love of reading with my children now is so heart warming! My 9 year old son mostly likes hockey books.. But I'll take it.
Thank you so much for all the joy you brought to my like, and now to my daughter's.

You should make a book when Allison is the main character, because you made one with Rachel the main character and Stephanie the main character.

Hi Judy (or whomever is reading this email),
I just finished reading "Forever" for the second time. I fell in love with it when I read it five years ago in high school, and I fell in love all over again when it read it this week. It's honestly one of my favorite books and I will forever keep it on my shelf. This is definitely a book I will pass down to my future daughter.
Could you sign it for me, please if I sent it through snail mail?

Solveig
Hi!
My name is Solveig. Last night I read your book "Dennie", and really liked it. But I was wondering what happened at the end. I understand Dennie didn't change out of the Milwaukee brace, but I need more then that. Such as, how was her treatment, did Denise's mom finally accepted her condition, and did Deenie become a Orthopedist? I know you are very busy and probably aren't going to respond, but if possible, please do. Deniee was the first book by you that I read, and I am going to keep reading your books. Thank you so much for writing these books. They are very inspiring,
Your Fan,
Solveig

Hi Judy,
I recently looked you up again because I released my first children's book in December. I remembered how much I enjoyed your books when I was growing up in Michigan, especially "Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret." I was happy to find this page to leave you a message and let you know in some small way how much your books touched my heart. It's rare to find authors who can write in such a personal and relatable way as you do. Thank you for helping me to love reading when I was younger; it's part of the reason I went into journalism.

Hi Judy Blume,
I just watched your 23 lessons on Master Class, and wow was I blown away. Your guidance, notes on your process, advice, challenges, and everything in between, was truly life changing. I will cherish your advice forever. I grew up on your books. They shaped me, inspired me, and helped me grow as a curious young woman. I have been inspired to take a trip to The Keys to visit your bookshop. I can not wait.
Thank you for everything you do, and have done. You are a total genius and I look up to you immensely.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Jenn, from Montreal

Tales of the 4th Grade Nothing was read to me in elementary. I have been a teacher now for 24 years, and I have read the Fudge books to every one of my 24 homeroom classes. I was ecstatic when you came out with Double Fudge. My class is currently on this book, and they wanted me to ask if by any chance you would write another book for this series. I have former students to this day ask if I still read the Fudge books to my classes. I love the way your writing flows. It holds the children's attention, and keeps them wanting more!
