The trials and tribulations of sixth-grader Margaret Simon are finally going from page to screen in the Lionsgate adaptation of Judy Blume’s classic novel, Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret.

The feature film follows Margaret (Abby Ryder Fortson), a sixth grader who moves from the city to the suburbs. She prays to God to watch over her and help her through her anxieties, including puberty and its changes to her body and her emotions. The movie also stars Rachel McAdams, Kathy Bate, and Benny Safdie.
