As a teen,I grew up addicted to your books. Now I've finally had the chance to pay homage to them through my cooking blog, with what I call "The Judy Blume of Desserts!" I would be honoured if you took a look. Thank you for your wonderful books and for helping many people through the rocky road that is adolescence. Much love! I graduated with an degree in Literature, and I've never written to (or had the desire to write to) an author. I've read many good books, a number of which have "changed my life"- to use the old cliche. But they've changed it in small, aesthetic ways, where my life is better for having read something poignant and beautiful.

I don't remember many of the details from your books, Ms Blume, and as a young girl I read all of them, multiple times. But I remember how I felt when I read them, and I remember identifying with them, learning from them, and loving them. They changed my life in a real way. They taught me how to be a woman, a feminist, and empathetic human being, and helped shape who I am. I am so grateful to you, to the books you've written, and to your guts and gusto for caring about young women in a real and honest way.

I don't know if I can say the same about any other author or book. Thank you!

Hi Judy!
My little nine year old friend just attended a play in Ivoryton, CT on "Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing". Well, I must keep up with her! So, I took the book from our library and read it.
The story was fun, entertaining, funny and almost perfect...except the grammar. Now, I know you and most of your readers will think I am old and stuffy. Yet, as a teacher, I object to sentences that begin with "Me and Jimmy". Yes, I know kids speak that way, but don't we have some sort of responsibility to show them the correct way to speak? Your story gives our children directions in using good manners....why not proper grammar?
My friend's grandmother, who is a librian, agrees. Well, that is two of us. Thanks for listening.

Dear Judy, You have been my favourite author from the time I first picked up Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing in Grade 3. (I thought I was advanced, reading about a kid older than me!)Are You There God was how my mother introduced me to the "wondrous" changes in my body, and Blubber hit me right in the heart. I could go on about all of your books (I have read them ALL) but I wanted to just say that this summer, my daughters and step daughter discovered the joy of a summer by the pool and Judy Blume. As I sit on my porch typing, one is reading Blubber, one is reading Sally J and one is reading Then Again Maybe I Won't. I can't get their attention to feed them lunch, and THAT brings a smile to my face and remembrances of days gone by with my mother screaming at the top of her lings to get my attention. Thank you for being part of my childhood, and now, part of my girls' lives. Your words are cherished in our home.

The younger me had a list of authors she loved...then the older me returned to these authors to check out their "new" stuff and was a wee bit disappointed. So, out of fear, I never read your adult books. I didn't want my childhood illusions broken. But then someone told me...read "Summer Sisters"...I was like, no way, I love Judy Blume...I can't go there. But I did. I bought it; I started it and read until my kids threatened to call child protective services for neglect.
I am so happy to say...my love affair with your writing continues. My faith is greatness is restored!! Thank you.

Just finished reading Smart Women for probably around the 3rd time. I had not picked up the book in about 15 years and it was still as captivating as the first time. It was interesting to read it now as an adult with kids of my own...I can relate to the character's on a whole other level and at times became very frustrated with their choices. Well, I could go on writing my thoughts about your books for pages..I have grown up reading your books - my first chapter book was Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing. I still have the original copy and recently gave it to my 10 year old daughter to read. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity and please another adult novel SOON!!!

I have enjoyed perusing your website! I used to read your books when I was an adolescent. I've always had a love for reading and remember that you were one of my favorite authors. Now I am an aspiring author and was asking a family member if they knew of a book agent, she did not, but told me that her grand daughter suggested I contact Judy Blume and find out who is her agent ... I thought how cute! The statement flooded my memory about how I enjoyed reading your books as a pre-teen girl. I'm glad to know you are still writing.

Dear Mrs. Blume, I've been reading your books since 4th grade..I relate to each and every one of them. I have a very unique, real life story. I've been thinking of how I could go about writing it. It will hit home with many people across the world. It is something that is extremely private, yet I know it will help people deal with this secrete and hopefully help people understand, know it is okay to talk about....So personal I cannot even write about. I'm trying to find someone who can take my story and write a book or even a lifetime movie..I hope you could take a moment to contact me to discuss this story..You inspire me to write...Thank you for all your great and personal books...I'm reading summer sister's as we speak. I can relate to this oh, so well..
Much regards

I just read "Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing" to my six year old Andrew Hill, who has a little brother Joshua "Football" Hill. They both have two older sisters, and I think Andrew was feeling kind of left out.

When I pulled out this book, which I hadn't read in years, both Andrew and I started to realize that we can relate to Peter, and Peter's dad.

Our little Football is quite the handful, and he likes going into his siblings room and playing with things. He cannot sit still in the Doctor's office. And taken off, when we weren't watching him.

Needless to say, Andrew and I laughed out loud at the situations Fudge put his brother through! Thanks for reminding us of the humor in family life!

God Bless

Dear Mrs. Blume,
Hi! I want to thank you for being an inspiration to my mom and I. When I was Ten years old my mom and I went shopping while and we found the book, " Are You There God? It's Me,Margaret." As soon as she saw that book she explained to me how much she had loved that book when she was younger and told me all about it. Next thing I know I have the book (yes I did pay for it first) and as soon as I get home and start to read I fall in love with it just like my mom did. It's been 2 goin' on 3 years since then and I still have that book and read it.

Hey Judy! When I was young I read most of your kid books like, Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, Super Fudge, Freckle Juice etc. Bot then after awhile I stopped liking to read and I never wanted to see a book ever again! I hated them! I would much rather watch T.V. But just a couple days ago, my mom wanted me to try "the older Judy Blume books." So I did, she got a book for the Library called "It's Noth the End of The World" and I LOVED it! I finished it in one day! So I read another called "Blubber" I loved that one to! I also finished it in one day. I'm a very sensitive person and I cried at Blubber because of how mean they were! But I still loved the book! Anyway when my sister finishes reading Tiger Eyes I'm SOOOO going to read it! ALL I DO IS READ YOUR BOOKS NOW INSTEAD OF T.V.!!!!!!! <3 Anyways I'll talk to you later! <3

Your Friendly Reader Always,
