We recently read your great book, Freckle Juice. We LOVED it. We especially loved the part when Andrew put blue freckles on his face. We have a couple of questions.
Is Andrew Marcus based on a real person that you know? Did you write this book because you wanted freckles as a child? Finally, what is your favorite children's book that you wrote.

I wanted to express my deep gratitude for your writings when I was growing up in the 1970's! What a "Right of Passage" it was as each of my friends shared one copy of the book "Are You There God". It was considered somewhat "risque'" for the times, truly amazing considering how much times have changed.
You did help me get through the first signs of puberty, and I, like many other women of my era, really wish you had written a book about menopause...It could be "Are You STILL There God, It's Me Margaret in Menopause". You should have given us all a heads up!
I have purchased the set of books for my granddaughter who has just turned 8yrs old and I cannot wait for her to READ READ THEM! A paperback book! No screen time, I sure hope and pray that she will begin to realize that there is a whole new & different world when you have a book in your hand.
I will let you know how it goes, hopefully she will read the series.
When she is a bit older I will share "Fifty Shades of Gray"!!!

Hi Judy: I got to meet you a couple of years ago at your bookstore and it was such a highlight for me. Unfortunately, I was a little starstruck and didn't really get to tell you how much you meant to me as a child. I desperately needed glasses, but nobody realized that for a few years & my world was pretty small because I couldn't see very well. Then one day the school librarian gave me one of your books and I loved the world I could escape into with your stories. I read every single book of yours that our little library had. Grew up to work in an elementary school library and truly enjoyed introducing Fudge and friends to the kids! Thank you so much for the stories.

Happy Birthday Judy! Our family survived February 11, 1952 at Salem Avenue Apartments! I was Monte Zahler's playmate. How ironic your birthday nearly coincides. Saw your movie filmed here in Charlotte, NC. Please contact me if you visit again. Parents Irv & Sophia Jacobson knew your parents. Susan Rosenfeld was my classmate. Hi Ms. Blume. When I was a kid, I read Here's to You Rachel Robinson. That book shaped my childhood, and I still think back on that story fondly. I'm hoping that some day in the near future, we get Alison's book. She's been waiting a long time for people to read her story. I have always loved to flirt with the words on the page, but you have a straightforward creative way of bringing stories to life. I have read it over and over and over again. I found this book when my English teacher was clearing out his cupboard of books from the 70s. I know I'm asking for such an huge request but would you please continue writing(especially the fudge series since I really want another Fudge book, before I grow up fully). If not I totally understand and I would appreciate if you could atleast send me any draft of your 6th Fudge book as I would love to read it.

Dear Judy, I grew up with your books like many other girls in the 70's. I have kept them all, especially my copy of "Otherwise known as Sheila the Great" in hardcover that was given to me on one of my birthdays complete with inscription on the inside cover from the gift giver. I have recently realized that my niece's children can call me 'Sheila the Great,' since I'm their Great Aunt. It's so cute to hear them call me that in their little voices. I can't wait to read your new book you're working on. Thanks for all the great memories.
Hi Judy, i wanted to write to you to firstly express my appreciation for the almost lifelong impact Super fudge has had on my life. I first discovered him in 1986 to 87 in my year 3 of junior school (which i think is 5/6 grade in USA terms?) we had a brand new teacher that school year, Mr Hunter. he was quirky and introduced down time weds and fri afternoons to our close.. in these sessions he would read to us.. Suoerfudge from book 1 to 5.. he would change his voice for all characters.. we were mesmirised!! no teacher had ever done this before. It left an imprint in my heart and when i had my darling twins in 2002 i couldnt wait for them to be that little bit older to read the books to them myself. Imnow 47 years old and re-reading the complete series which brings so many memories of my childhood back to me. Thank you Judy <3
Hello!! Fellow Jersey Girl here who is now 62 and grew up reading your wonderful books!! One book that stood out for me is “It’s Not The End Of The World.” The character that stood out for me was the mother, Eleanor. It would be great if you could write an adult book about her life from her point of view! It would be pretty powerful!! Take care of yourself!!
