Judy says: Thank you, thank you for all your wonderful notes. I only wish I could write back to each of you personally. But in order to start a new book I need serious thinking time, which means less time for e-mail. Hope you understand.
Just want you to know that my assistant and I read this guestbook every day, and try to respond when appropriate. Your continued love and support are a constant inspiration.

Hi Judy I love your books! I hope you're doing great! You are such a great author.:)
Hi Judy. You are in my memoir, Up All Night, to be released in April, as the first author who made reading come alive. Mrs. Kinnear, our fifth-grade teacher, had the class rolling off their seats in laughter when she read Tales of a Fourth-Grade Nothing. I'm now an Associate Professor at University of the Southwest in Hobbs, New Mexico.
Hi! I am hoping for an "Are You There God..." sequel, where Margaret and her friends are anxiously awaiting menopause and discovering all the highs and lows that accompany that part of life...
What do you think?!? Would love to reconnect with those characters. I read that book so often they felt like friends.

Hi Judy! I read all your books as a kid/ teenager. Now I’m reading your Fudge books to my kids. And it got me wondering, did Peter and Sheila ever get married? Could you do a “where are they now” for some of your characters?? I’d love to know your visions of their adulthood!!
My fourth grade class just finished reading Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing and loved it, of course! As part of our Halloween celebration in the school library, students decorate pumpkins as book characters. One of my students decorated her pumpkin to look like Dribble. Thank you for writing a book that still speaks to children and adults alike!
Judy, thank you for your words. At 29, I discovered you. I wish that, as a child, I had read your books, but they are speaking to and healing my inner child now. “Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret” was filled with all of the questions I had about myself, my family, my faith (minus wanting to increase my bust, of course!). Your dedication to your craft, your energy, and your desire to give people truthful and realistic stories to read have been an inspiration to me over the past several months. I appreciate your artistry very much. Thank you.

Judy, I just finished your Master Class and I enjoyed it so much. You made so many points that I would swear came from me. Thank you for taking the time to do this class. It was priceless.
Hi,
My class is learning how to conduct writing conferences as part of the revising process. We were wondering, do you think having others read your work before you publish is helpful? If so, can you explain? Thank you so much!

Dear Judy,
I grew up reading your books and appreciating your honesty and humor. They truly shaped me and now they can shape my own kids.
I just wanted to thank you for being authentic, creative and brave when people told you to turn down your volume and get in line with conformists. You are a difference maker and I only wish I had been one of the girls writing you for my entire life! Thank you for everything.

I won't make this too long by telling you all my memories, but I will say thank you. Honestly never thought to look up to see if Judy Blume had a website, but it is a wonderful one. When I started thinking back on all my memories, emotions, and learning from Judy Blume books, I started crying (I am 50 years old), and I ended up sobbing for about 20 or 30 minutes. Good happy tears and other miscellaneous emotions that seem so different now thinking back on them from midlife. So thank you not only for giving the world your books but also for your determination in the fight against censorship. You are amazing and inspiring! Sending much love.
Thank you for starting my book reading entry. You made me a book reader for life. The joy this has given me is unparalleled.
Dear Ms. Blume,
I have read all of your books. I wanted to tell you, that as much as I loved Margaret and the Fudge books, Deenie saved me. When I was in 7th grade, I was diagnosed with scoliosis. Like Deenie, my entire life changed. I was an active athlete, playing basketball, softball, and participating in track. All of that ended in a moment because of the brace. The only thing left was swimming, not competitive because that was too long out of the brace, but for an hour in the YMCA pool every morning before middle and high school. Having a book about someone else going through it allowed me to pivot and place my energy into new activities.
Thank you for years of joy!

Hello Judy. I am President of WV PTA and wanted to contact you regarding a reading initiative in our state. We are partnering with our Department of Education to create reading videos for our schools. We would be honored if you would consider reading one of your books for one of our videos. I know you are a busy person but it would mean so much to us to have you be part of our Ready Read Write initiative. Thank you for your consideration.
Dear Judy,
I've wanted to write to you since I was twelve years old. I'm now 51.
"It's Not The End Of The World" is the book that probably saved my life. My name is also Karin/Karen, and my parents divorced when I was 12. I was the oldest of three children and immediately became the second parent in my house because my mother had to go back to work. The divorce was not amicable.
I was gifted a copy of the book, and I read and reread that book weekly, until that copy fell apart. Knowing that there was an adult out there somewhere who understood how frustrating and stressful life was for me helped more than you could possibly ever know. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Hi Ms. Blume:
I’m happy to connect with you. I read your books when I was in Jr. High. I worked at the school library and was at home when I had books to help me understand the world. Thank you for being my guide through my teen years.
Your topics were hard for my parents to talk to my sisters and me about . You were a bright light.
I appreciate you very much.
Be well! Many blessings to you. I’m 56 years old now and cherish the memories of your books.
-Margaret

You were such a huge part of my life growing up and I have shared your books with my kids and cousins! (I bought them their own copies - mine are shredded!) I can’t even begin to tell you how special you are! I love that people now are still admiring your work!
I sent you an email years ago and you wrote back to me! I treasured that email, but unfortunately I never printed it out and it vanished from my saved mail (seriously, it just disappeared!!!). I know you have so many requests, but I would be so happy if I could receive another note from you. If not, I’m happy to just let you know how much you are loved!
Thanx!
