Judy says: Thank you, thank you for all your wonderful notes. I only wish I could write back to each of you personally. But in order to start a new book I need serious thinking time, which means less time for e-mail. Hope you understand.
Just want you to know that my assistant and I read this guestbook every day, and try to respond when appropriate. Your continued love and support are a constant inspiration.

I'm a 52 year old woman who grew up with your stories. At this point in my life I am wishing more than anything else that you had written a sequel called "Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret in Menopause." I find it peculiar that the same generation that found freedom to talk about our periods is now struggling to express everything that's happening to us as our child-bearing years wane. Thank you for giving us language for talking about changes to our bodies, Judy. Even now it still means the world.
Hi Judy and team. I just saw the trailer for the new movie and had a true light bulb moment. Many friends comment on my prayer style. I’m pretty relaxed and intimate in prayer. Turns out, I learnt to pray from reading “Are You There God? It’s Me Margaret “. Thank you!!!!!!
Good morning Judy,
My students love, love Freckle Juice! Some of them even wrote the next chapter and designed a cover page too! We even used the recipe in the book and made our very own Freckle Juice. Don’t worry, no one tasted it just smelled it. Hopefully, you’re able to reach out to us, so I can send you the pictures of their covers. Better yet, a zoom call would be amazing! 🙂

Hello Judy! I’m a 42-year-old woman who had the good fortune of a childhood filled with your books. Now I have six- and seven-year-old sons, and I read those books to them!
I was reading “Are You There, God? It’s Me, Margaret” to them last year and had left the open book on the table when my mom (the boys’ grandma) came to visit and sit with them a while as I went out. She was surprised I was reading “that book” to the boys. I told her that books weren’t for boys or girls — books are for everyone, and boys should know what girls think about and vice versa.
By the time I came home, she’d read a chapter of “that book” aloud to her grandsons.
To this day, your books are some of my sons’ favorites — and mine too. Thank you!

Never too late!
Just wanted to tell you what a wonderful, beautiful and awesome human being you are Judy! I watched a program about you recently, which reminded me just how many of your awesome books I read and that there is still more to know about you as a person and more books to explore.
Thank you so much, for supporting us all and writing such wonderful books and dealing with all the crap you had to, to fight for them and our right to engage with issues that matter. I realise there are some books I’ve missed (somehow), so will definitely be seeking them out.
Much love, a fan of at least 28 years..
Leah

Hi Judy! I really enjoyed your books growing up and your work inspired me to start writing my own stories. Thank you for the inspiration you give me and many others.
Sincerely,
Sincerely,
Are you there Judy, it’s me, Dawn!! I just wanted to let you know that as a child I loved all of your books! All of my friends did too! I am now 56 and still have yearly visits with my middle school and high school friends. We watched the movie “Are You There God It’s Me Margaret” together at a beautiful river front cabin in Arkansas this past June (so far from all of our California roots). We laughed our asses off remembering our youth from bits and pieces of the movie! As we got to talking, none of us remember the actual underlying theme of the book. We just remember the “period” and breast stuff! So thank you from the bottom of my heart for your role in the memories of our lives!!
Hi,Judy!
I've always admired your writing, and at 57 years old, I still believe that nearly everything I learned about life as a young guy I learned from Judy Blume. My wife and I will be in Key West from the 26th of November thru December 1st. I still have my original copy of the Boys' bible (Then Again, Maybe I Won't) from when I was 13 or so years old. I'm hoping that you'll be in town while we're there so I might be able to bring it in and have you sign it for me. As a recently retired elementary teacher, I can speak to the timelessness of your books and how they have been a big part of not only MY life, but the lives of hundreds of kids I've taught as well. You have been an inspiration and a hero to me.
Respectfully,
Dave

Hi Judy,
I’ve recently rediscovered your books. I loved them as a child. Now my kids are loving them too. Our favourites are the Fudge books. We’ve been reading these out loud together. It’s hard to find books that a 6yr old girl, 10 yr old boy and 12 yr old girl will all like, but Fudge has us covered. Thank you!

Dear Judy Blume,
My name is Blaire and I am 8 years old and I have just finished Tales Of A Fourth Grade Nothing and I liked when Peter told everyone in the elevator what happened to Fudge when he swallowed Dribble because it was funny and it got whispered to different people! I think that you are a great author and you should be a celebrity! FROM BLAIRE

I just finished reading your book “Forever” and it was amazing. The way you write, explain, and describes things are so beautiful. You’ve broadened my reading from many of your books and that means a lot to me.
Sincerely,
Eva

Hey Judy, I know you said you'd never write another Peter/Fudge Hatcher book. Do you think with the great success of Dear God, there could ever be a Tales Of A Fourth Grade Nothing movie? I wish we could see where the Hatcher family is now... Are Peter and Shiela dating? Are Peter and Jimmy still best friends? I hope one day to find out. God bless, best wishes my friend, Ethan Cooperrider
Hi Judy! My 10 year old daughter is doing a wax museum project for her 5th grade class about you! She was so excited to choose you to do her project on. I took her to see Are you there God, it’s me Margaret, and she loved it so much!! She’s been reading many of your books. Thankyou so much for all you’ve done to positively impact this world! Maybe one day we will be able to visit your book shop!
Hi Judy,
I absolutely loved your books growing up and admire you very much/

My 8 year old daughter, Mackenzie, just picked up superfudge and was full of giggles. Brought me back to my childhood, reading all those same books. Thank you for the hard work you put into these books! My other 6 year old daughter, Samantha, wants to "write books" when she grows up, any advise for her? Thanks again!
Hello, Judy! I can't believe I'm writing this right now! You are an amazing author and you always make people laugh. Keep up the amazing writing.
Thanks,
Rozzy

I'm so sorry to bother you, but my husband won a literary prize in the mid nineties as a child. The reward was to be a meeting with you. He had to settle with Roald Dahl (and is still sad about it). A signed photograph would mean the world to him and maybe he'll be less grumpy. I'm willing to make a donation to a charity of your choice in exchange for the picture. He is called Ian P
Judy,
I just watched the documentary about you, and it reminded me of all your books I read as a young girl. Memories I had buried long ago with painful memories of abuse. Sadly all I carried with me throughout most of my life was the shame tied to those events -wearing that shame like the scarlet letter. Until today. The documentary awoke something within me. I suddenly remembered all your books that I had read, and although I don't remember how I felt at the time, I realized that your books remained in my subconscious. And they are the reason why I was able to cope with the realities of being a young girl growing up. You were the voice inside my head that kept me from panicking when I got my period because it was never discussed in our house, and so on. And now that I'm a grandmother, I will reread your books, for myself, and for my granddaughter, who I will gift with your books when she is old enough to read. So thank you. Thank you for sharing your gift. And thank you for making that documentary.

Dear Mrs. Blume,
Growing up I was struggling to read. I'm not sure if it was a bilingual issue or if I just didn't want to concentrate, but reading wasn't clicking. I randomly saw "Freckle Juice" at the library and was captivated by the cover. Little did I know that the story captivated me more. I adored that book and instantly gravitated to your other works.
As a teenager I was obsessed with "Tiger Eyes" and "Forever" - both tugged at my heartstrings. I still read them occasionally at 39 years old.
Thank you for mixing the pain and love that you experienced into your work. Your passion has changed little humans for the best. May God continue to bless you and your family.
